摘要: Splitting of the first excited (Gamma) 134(3H6) doublet state Tm3+ ions in LiTmF4 crystal external magnetic fields up to 11 T has been studied using measurements luminescence and far RI absorption spectra at low temperatures. In field perpendicular S4-symmetry axis lattice, splitting non-Kramers is caused by joint action nonlinear Zeeman effect piezo spectroscopic related parastriction. Experimental dependences on strength direction are good correspondence with theoretical estimations obtained framework semi phenomenological model. It shown that data present direct information forced magnetostriction basal plane uniaxial Van Vleck paramagnets contain non- Kramers rare earth ions.© (2002) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
