摘要: Abstract Splitting of the first excited Γ 34 1 ( H 6 3 ) doublet state Tm + ions in LiY - x F 4 crystals external magnetic fields up to 5.5 T has been studied using measurements luminescence spectra at low temperatures. In field perpendicular S -symmetry axis crystal lattice, splitting non-Kramers is caused by joint action nonlinear Zeeman effect and piezospectroscopic related parastriction. Experimental dependences on strength direction are good correspondence with theoretical estimations obtained framework semiphenomenological model. It shown that spectroscopic data present direct information forced magnetostriction basal plane uniaxial Van Vleck paramagnets contain rare earth ions. The measured concentration dependence can be explained taking into account variations elastic constants
