New sharks and rays from the Cenomanian and Turonian of Charentes, France

摘要: New or so far poorly known neoselachians from the Cenomanian nd Turonian of SW France are described. The material studied herein comes nine localities in Charentes region, comprising aeoenvironments ranging coastal to open marine environments, and consists two orectolobiforms, six lamniforms, four rajiforms. new taxa Squalicorax coquandi sp. nov. Roulletia bureaui gen. et within Hamrabatis bernardezi nov., Archingeayia sistaci Engolismaia couillardi specimens Odontaspis rochebrunei Sauvage, 1880 type area allow redescription this taxon, assigned genus Cenocarcharias. Occurrences baharijensis, S. cf. intermedius, Archaeolamna sp., previously unrecorded Almascyllium, a generally described younger strata, also noted, improve knowledge mid-Cretaceous selachian faunas Western Europe.
