摘要: Abstract Maintaining cells in culture is essential for studying many aspects of cell biology and physiology. Cell culturing dependent on proper anchorage to the growth surfaces. For most lines, especially post-mitotic neurons, coated tissue plates are prerequisite seeding. The commonly used coating reagents positively charged polymers such as poly- l -lysine or biologically purified adhesive molecules collagen. In this report, we present a simple procedure synthesizing reagent inert hydrophobized polyethyleneimine (PEI), which provides adequate properties cultured lines including those neuronal lineage. PEI branched modified by octadecanyl groups bound 2 mol% amino PEI. Unlike native that water soluble, soluble ethanol, thus resistant solubilization biological media. protocol was optimized well glass surfaces respects polymer outperformed other routinely reagents. Neuronal plated polymer-treated manipulations repeated media changes extensive washing. advantage with developed PEI-based compared discussed.
