摘要: A trans unsaturated fatty acid was found as a major constituent in the lipids of Pseudomonas putida P8. The identified 9-trans-hexadecenoic by gas chromatography, argentation thin-layer and infrared absorption spectrometry. Growing cells P. P8 reacted to presence sublethal concentrations phenol medium with changes composition lipids, thereby increasing degree saturation. At which completely inhibited growth putida, were still able increase content simultaneously decrease proportion corresponding 9-cis-hexadecenoic acid. This conversion acids also induced 4-chlorophenol nongrowing de novo synthesis had stopped, shown incorporation experiments labeled acetate. isomerization double bond chloramphenicol indicates constitutively operating enzyme system. cis-to-trans modification studied here apparently is new way adapting membrane fluidity phenols, compensating for elevation permeability these toxic substances.
