摘要: The objective was to determine the effects on milk production and DMI of 2.3 kg/d corn silage DM fed lactating cows grazing grass pasture supplemental grain. Thirty Holstein cows, averaging 32 kg at start trial, intensively grazed for 8 wk. One-half received in two equal feedings, one-half were used as controls (no silage). All grain 1 DM/4 milk. Corn had no effect or composition. Cows did not have improved BW gain body condition score. Each unit consumed replaced 1.2 units pasture, but total different because supplementation with silage. Blood urea N concentrations lower Supplementation high producing Holsteins pastures production, composition, DMI.
