摘要: Stem cell biology offers the possibility of new approaches in regenerative medicine. These include vitro generation neurons that die degenerative diseases from stem cells and their subsequent transplantation to inflicted patients, as well pharmacological stimulation endogenous which may promote survival compromised neurons, or even replace them. Because hallmark Parkinson's disease is progressive loss dopaminergic nigro-striatal pathway, this an ideal candidate for therapies. Research over last decade shows can be generated both fetal embryonic with high efficiencies. Current treatment involve treatments increase function remaining but do not slow progression degeneration neurons. Here we review cell-based efforts and/or protect vivo.
