摘要: Carabids (Carabidae, Coleoptera) were studied for 2 yearsto explore changes in their diversity and composition during a forestry cycle inthe Hungarian Mountain Range. Native beech forest was clear-cut replantedwith Norway spruce. Recently planted (5 years old), young (15years middle-aged (30 old) old spruceplantations (50 using pitfall traps. Ourresults showed that the species richness of carabids significantly lower plantations than native forest. Species washomogeneous β-Diversity 15–30year also low, it increased slightlytowards ageing. Heterogeneity 5year plantation higher others, whichreflected patchiness plantation. The main tendencies thecompositional as follows. Deciduous specialists decreasedsignificantly abundance plantations; they appeared highabundance only characteristic open habitatsincreased remarkably recently established plantation.Multiple linear regression between 12environmental variables shows pH compaction soil, thecover leaf litter had significant effect determining ofcarabids.
