摘要: Infection of macaque monkeys with the simian immunodeficiency virus macaques (SIVmac) results in disease similar to human AIDS. Therefore, monkey is proving be an important model for testing effectiveness various AIDS vaccine approaches. A detailed analysis cellular immune responses necessary evaluation candidate vaccines. However, this has not been possible macaques, due, part, unknown nature MHC molecules that restrict their T lymphocytes. In our report we demonstrate a particular class I molecule involved rhesus monkey's effector lymphocyte response SIVmac expressed at high frequency colony monkeys. SIVmac-infected express all develop CTL are restricted by and recognize identical nine amino acid epitope gag protein. This defined as HLA-A homolog cDNA cloning sequencing. It also I-deficient cell line directly cloned molecule's capacity bind present peptide Ag CTL. These studies illustrate virus-specific can characterized detail lay foundation exploring novel approaches vaccination species.
