摘要: Interest in empirically derived dietary patterns has increased over the past decade. However, relatively few studies have evaluated using different methods, or young populations. We quantitatively compared from a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) with those 3-day record (FR) cohort of adolescents. Subjects Western Australian Pregnancy Cohort (Raine) Study completed semi-quantitative FFQ and FR at 14 y age (n=783). Major were identified exploratory factor analysis on 38 groups. Dietary pattern z-scores 95% limits agreement (LOA) Spearman’s r. Two major FR. A ‘Healthy’ was high fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grains grilled canned fish. ‘Western’ takeaway foods, confectionery, soft drinks, crisps fried potato. The nutrient profiles these similar when estimated by LOA between scores -1.69 to 1.75 (‘Healthy’) -1.89 1.82 (‘Western’). Minor differences observed boys girls analysed separately. correlation coefficients r=0.45 r=0.36 Comparable may be obtained analysis. This supports use this adolescent cohort.
