摘要: Belgium developed a rather extensive nuclear research and development (R&D) programme quite early due to the ready supply of uranium from former colony Congo its contribution Manhattan project. Belgium, once had national ambition developing full fuel cycle. Nuclear power provides 52% electricity in 2014. Belgium’s seven reactors – four Flemish municipality Doel, three Walloon Tihange became operational between 1975 1985. The history Belgian is for large part one ‘fait accompli’ politics has been characterized by general lack transparent decision making (Laes et al. 2007).
