摘要: One of the primary questions concerning long-term preservation nature and its diversity is maintenance genetic diversity. However, despite numerous theoretical investigations, comparative empirical information on how local extinctions influence regional variation does not exist. To our knowledge, this first report an study comparing permanent vs. ephemeral species at two scales (local variation, variation). This approach, utilizing a microsatellite analysis six midge genus Chaoborus generated intriguing scale-dependent results. Species that experienced repeated had reduced level, yet was greater than in with populations. Our findings call into question assumption generally contain lower diversity, especially if they experience "nomadic" pattern dispersal. We encourage analyses data dual as molecular tools become more available ecological studies.
