摘要: Panmixia is a key issue in maintaining genetic diversity, which facilitates evolutionary potential during environmental changes. Additionally, conservation biologists suggest the importance of avoiding small or subdivided populations, are prone to losing diversity. In this paper, computer simulations were performed drift neutral alleles random mating populations with without spatial constraints by randomly choosing mate among closest neighbours. The results demonstrated that number generations required for allele become homozygous (Th) varied proportionally population size and also strongly correlated constraints. average Th same was approximately one-and-a-half times longer than With constraints, clusters formed, reduced local diversity but preserved global Therefore, panmixia might be harmful preserving an entire population. suggested gene flow exchange must carefully processed restrict diseases transmission death transportation monitor application concept similar systems, such as information transfer peers, discussed.
