摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter elaborates the use of atlas template images for nonhuman primate neuroimaging. Neuroimaging in humans offers many advantages, but species may be more appropriate some studies, such as lesion models human disease, drug development, pharmacologic investigations, and methods development. Baboons have been employed frequently positron emission tomography (PET) studies due to their relatively large brain volume. The first step creating MRI image is transform each nine individual baboon MPRAGE space. bootstrap accomplished using a previously validated labor-intensive method that requires expert identification certain radiological landmarks. are intensity scaled histogram averaged together voxelwise create initial image. It found transformation from 12-scan average PET computed by matrix multiplication template. final templates provide anatomic results statistical analysis.
