摘要: Summary India is experiencing multiple transitions with respect to nutrition patterns, epidemiology and demography. Along staggering childhood undernutrition, a rapid rise in chronic diseases their risk factors including overweight-obesity (O-O), among all sections of society, compounding India's health challenges. We present an overview the O-O scenario (prevalence, determinants) profile existing initiatives address this modifiable factor India. Urgent attention from sectors, committed resources, policy support targeted actions are warranted combat dual burden malnutrition. The systems should be reoriented strengthened, addition enabling other prevention control non-communicable associated like O-O.
