摘要: The magnetic properties of icosahedral Al-Pd-Mn phases have been investigated by studying a large set samples, including single crystals and polycrystalline ribbons. composition structure (F, F 2 , or M ) each sample determined. Composition changes thermal treatments lead to wide range susceptibility variations (by factor around 55). comparison data for all studied as well literature shows that the temperature dependence exhibits universal behavior, whatever structural state, composition, treatment. It can be accounted Kondo effect gradually affected RKKY-type interactions concentration Mn atoms increases. atom is small, ranging from 3.8×10 - 5 less up 2×10 3 more one-i.e., much than in icosahredral phase(∼8×10 ). varies with depends strongly on phase. In particular, are found evolve along growth direction grain obtained Czochralski technique relation variations.
