摘要: Two decades of evidence-based exploratory pursuits in heme-flavin enzymology led to the formulation a new biological electron/moiety transfer paradigm, called murburn concept. Murburn is novel literary abstraction from "mured burning" or "mild unrestricted burning". This concept was invoked explain longstanding conundrum maverick physiological dose responses and also applied remodel prevailing understanding drug metabolism cellular respiration. A conglomeration simple ideas grounded known principles thermodynamics reaction chemistry, invokes catalytic/functional roles for diffusible reactive species radicals. Hitherto, were primarily seen as toxic agents chaos, non-conducible maintenance life-order. Since paradigm offers distinctly different perspective several phenomena, researchers holding conventional views pose direct conflict interests advancement schemes are poised integrate numerous metabolic motifs with holistic outcomes; redefining biology medicine. To advance this agenda, I present brief account point out how redundant still advocated some prestigious journals.
