摘要: BACKGROUND The independent prognostic significance of morning surge (MS) blood pressure (BP) is not yet clear. We investigated the association between MS systolic BP and risk coronary events in elderly treated hypertensive patients. METHODS occurrence was evaluated 1,191 patients (age range 60-90 years). Subjects were divided according to tertiles population as a whole, by dipping status group-specific dippers nondippers. RESULTS During follow-up (9.1 ± 4.9 years, 0.4-20 years), 120 occurred. In event significantly associated with BP, whereas nondippers at higher than dippers. When analyzed separately, but After adjustment for various covariates, Cox regression analysis showed that third tertile (>23 mm Hg) (hazard ratio 1.912, 95% confidence interval 1.048-3.488, P = 0.03) 1.739, 1.074-2.815, 0.02) <23 Hg . CONCLUSIONS patients, high predicts Nondippers, however, show independently BP.
