摘要: The importance of babesiosis in livestock China is discussed and mainly focused on bovine equine babesiosis. Babesiosis still one the most important diseases affecting has caused great economic loss. Nine species ofBabesia have been recognized livestock:B. bigemina, B. bovis, major, motasi, ovis, perroncitoi, B.trautmanni, equi (Theileria equi), caballi. distribution follows tick vectors. main vectors are one-host tickBoophilus microplus three-host ticksRhipicephalus haemaphysaloides haemaphysaloides, Haemaphysalis punctata andHaemaphysalis longicornis. Bovine significant losses milk meat from cattle parts China. disease also a barrier to improving productivity local by cross-breeding due high mortality genetically superior but highly susceptible cattle, especially dairy imported fromBabesia-free areas.Dermacentor nuttalli major vector distributed almost all North Outbreaks not very common, some districts seriously affected horses, donkeys mules.
