摘要: Abstract The continuing growth in energy demand has promoted wind development worldwide. As anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions will continue to modify the atmospheric circulation and global climate, assessing impacts of climate change on is necessary. This study uses high-resolution simulations North America downscaling project (NA-CORDEX) investigate future resources over America. Wind power projected decrease large areas western US East Coast throughout year. central US, with greatest potential for development, experience stronger variability significantly increased during some seasons. shows a significant increase (up 20%) Southern Plains spring summer. Northern Midwest may slightly (within 10%) winter spring. seasonal spatial patterns are relatively robust among different emission scenarios, periods, resolutions. outlines regions that benefit from or be negatively impacted by change. Therefore, effects should considered build-out resources.
