摘要: Semen parameters of raw and prepared (post-swim-up) specimens from 451 cycles ofintrauterine insemination (IUI) were analyzed in relation to cycle fecundity 232 patientsundergoing ovarian stimulation with sequential clomiphene citrate/menotropin therapy. Pregnancy occurred 42 cycles, resulting an overall pregnancy rate 17. 7%, a 9.3%. Cycle was positively correlated the post-swim-up log sperm density ( r = 0.994), total motile inseminated( 0.964; inseminates limited maximum 20 million sperm). Post-swim-up motility did not correlate 0.308) fecundity; however, most had > 40% post-swim-up. Only one when less than 1 inseminated (38 cycles) , which resulted 2.6% for these cycles. This may represent threshold effectiveness IUI this setting. Highest obtained inseminate containing approximately 10 or more sperm. Parameters samples well specimens. Analysis semen can provide useful prognostic information women undergoing stimulation; is helpful counseling patients regarding their chances success
