摘要: As part of the international debate on methods for measuring social progress a population, there has been increasing interest in individual subjective opinions about different aspects quality life (elementary indicators). In literature, many have introduced producing measures well-being based these opinions. Some aim to construct synthetic that allow us consider all simultaneously. This topic often requires methodological choices and/or distributional assumptions and, when are encoded by means categorical ordinal values, eventual quantification original variables. Here, starting from Istat multipurpose survey households’—aspects daily life, we propose an method constructing global satisfaction index. We introduce variable joint distribution elementary indicators is able express degree satisfaction. approach allows maintain data scale and avoid any aggregation formula. By comparing observed new theoretical one, which refers situation overall dissatisfaction (all individuals dissatisfied every aspect), three indices also implemented two simulation studies confirms both efficacy robustness our method. then applied it measure Italian using year 2013.
