摘要: Tests for liver function have by and large centered around clinical laboratory diagnostic procedures a number of years. Besides these, radiographic imaging procedures, including oral cholecystography intravenous cholangiography, serve very useful purpose, but several them are invasive involve certain degree risk from the administered contrast media as well discomfort to patient. The cholescintigraphic though noninvasive, not played significant role in evaluation hepatobiliary disorders prior introduction currently available 99m Tc-labeled IDAs. These new agents offer many advantages over previously utilized radiopharmaceuticals ( 131 I-rose bengal particular) terms high specificity localization gallbladder with rapid extraction rates polygonal cells low excretion via GU tract. A detailed understanding structure distribution relationship various groups complex enable design an improvement other desirable characteristics. In situations, even patients bilirubin levels, IDAs far superior information alternative modalities. Further, absorbed radiation dose imparted critical organs is lower than older agents. Thus, ushered phase workup impaired hepatocellular biliary disorders.
