摘要: The general consensus is that appendicitis basically provoked by fecaliths or lymphoid hyperplasic obstruction. Several studies based on histological diagnosis have not confirmed this hypothesis. On the contrary, obstruction has been proved in only a minority of cases. Diverse infections parasites, bacteria, fungus, and noninfective agents associated with medical literature. We describe firefighter, who ingested small quantity leachate from decomposing corpses while working developed enteritis few hours later, which lasted several days evolved to appendicitis. This case raises possibility high bacteria concentration present could subsequent due direct effect appendix.
