摘要: OBJECTIVE: To show the clinical–surgical results related with two patients Chiari I malformation and syringomyelia treated in Universitary Hospital “Manuel Ascunce Domenech” (Camaguey, Cuba) reduced posterior fossa decompression focused mainly achieving restitution of normal cerebrospinal flow craniospinal union. CLINICAL CASES: Two female cervical unilateral pain, accompanied by motors sensitive dysfunctions superior limbs are presented. Cranial magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated tonsils cerebellar herniation more than 5 mm toward spinal canal syringomyelia. Posterior was carried out both cases. Clinical radiological evolution favorable. CONCLUSIONS: In presented cases, good have been achieved performance high laminectomy.
