摘要: Deforestation is recognized as one of the most significant components in LULCC and global changes scenario. It imperative to assess its trend rate at which it occurring. The will have long-lasting impact on regional climate turn biodiversity. Present study was taken up Kanakapura surrounding areas located fringes Western Ghats biodiversity hot-spots. Temporal satellite data from Landsat classified into forest cover maps. Drivers such roads settlements were used order create predicted map region using GEOMOD tool Idrisi Andes. then validated actual land same year prepared data. found be 84.26 % accurate. validation also tested ROC approach 0.614. model further extended predict losses for 2015. results highlight ongoing deforestation adjoining Ghats. presents an application methods can predictive modeling related studies.
