摘要: This study was carried out to evaluate the influence of diets supplemented with glycerin as an alternative ingredient corn on performance and carcass characteristics Santa Ines confined lambs. The involved 27 lambs aged 90 days, having average initial weight 26.33 ± 0.15 kg. Lambs were randomly distributed into a control group groups containing 15 30% in total feed. Diet formulated 40% roughage 60% concentrate. experimental design completely randomized, production analyzed by analysis variance, subjective characteristics, general linear models. daily gain 0.21, 0.24 0.23 kg/day; feeding conversion 6.39, 5.73 5.92 kg diet/kg BW for animals, those fed or glycerin, respectively, without treatment differences. slaughtered, weighing 34 36 kg, cold commercial yield evaluated. results were, 15.97 49.18%, control, 15.96 48.31% animals 15% 15.79 47.87% treated no effects. Meat tenderness cooking loss averages not affected diets, 5.07 40.45%, 5.10 40.81%, 5.27 39.04%, glycerin. Therefore, it is possible conclude that up medium purity dry matter diet can be used replace corn, any negative effect lamb characteristics.
