摘要: Aeolian river dust can seriously affect the air quality in central Taiwan. The main purpose of this study was to assess concentration variations PM10 and metals at different elementary schools during episodes. River samples were taken from eight sites bare soil areas Choshui River. aerosols four Yulin County collected by means high-volume samplers. Fifteen elements (Fe, Al, Ca, Mg, Mn, Zn, Ti, Ni, V, Cr, As, Pb, Cu, Co, Cd) analyzed study. coefficients divergence (CDs) obtained comparing metal compositions on sampling days with mean contents as reference. CD values showed that high-exposure episodes similar those dust. concentrations much higher than non-river-dust This also indicated sites, both low-exposure control not only episodes, but after toxic (Ni, about 11.3 times (189 ng/m3) (16.7 8.9 same periods site (21.3 ng/m3).
