摘要: In this study, several image processing techniques have been studied for mineral identification. The data are obtained from a thin section under polarizing microscope through video camera with frame grabber card. collected isotropic (garnet), anisotropic non-pleochroic (quartz), and pleochroic (biotit) minerals, during parallel- cross-nicol observation. Using the technique, color analysis can be done by quantitative method; that is why optical characteristics physical phenomena of minerals explained more clearly. end result study gives us promising method identification using digital technique.
