摘要: Broiler flocks are frequently infected with Campylobacter jejuni. The origin of the infection is still unclear. question whether colonization results from transmission C. jejuni breeder to progeny (vertical transmission) or environmental sources (horizontal remains be answered. Therefore, in this study samples were taken successive broiler two houses (house A on farm and house B1 B) as well environment houses. All isolates typed by using Penner serotyping system, part B a randomly amplified polymorphic DNA-typing system. In poultry A, was isolated first flock but not subsequent flocks. B1, strains same serotypes exhibiting identical DNA profiles Infection common source via horizontal pathways suspected, while vertical route likely exist. Application measures control successful.
