Teaching basic life support to 12-16 year olds in Barcelona schools: views of head teachers.

摘要: Summary Aim To determine the opinion of head teachers on educational and logistical characteristics required for a basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (b-CPR) programme secondary school teenagers to succeed. Material methods The study was carried out in Barcelona which has 227 public private schools. Secondary is started at 12 years old, finished around 16 once pass grade 4. A hypothetical b-CPR program split into two parts (concepts training) introduced all teachers, 23 question survey mailed them three times. Results One hundred (44%) surveys were sent back: 63% from 37% schools with 85% being interested incorporating curriculum. Interested did not differ age, sex, or kind degree compared their non-interested counterparts. Neither differences found (ownership, religious orientation, size, neighborhood average income) both groups teachers.
