摘要: Network airlines have increasingly focused their operations on hub airports through the exploitation of connecting traffic. However, in this paper we show that they may also incentives to divert traffic away from hubs. More precisely, examine how optimal distribution network carriers can be affected by two major recent innovations airline industry: regional jet technology and low-cost business model. On one hand, a find it profitable serve thin point-to-point routes with jets when distance between endpoints is sufficiently short there high proportion travelers. other observe interested serving means subsidiary longer leisure We conclude are using those provide services out
