摘要: Until recently, the primary interest in adrenergic antagonists ocular pharmacology was as tools for elucidation of physiological role mechanisms eye. The discovery intraocular-pressure (IOP)-lowering effect oral propranolol 1967 (Phillips et al. 1967) and successful clinical utilization topical timolol treating glaucoma (Heel 1979) has provided one impetus a large number animal studies on blocking agents, particularly with regard to their effects upon IOP aqueous humor dynamics. More some attention also been given agents having α-adrenergic or both α- β-adrenergic properties.
