Fatigue in adult coeliac disease.

摘要: Summary Background : Fatigue is reported by many adults at the moment of diagnosis coeliac disease and during follow-up. Aim : To evaluate prevalence, characteristics associations fatigue in adult patients. Methods : The investigated sample comprised from Campania, Italy. A total 130 patients were consecutively recruited both treated (59 on gluten-free diet) untreated conditions (71 normal diet). The control group was made up 80 healthy controls. Coeliac controls underwent laboratory tests, a set questionnaires for studying fatigue: visual analogue scale fatigue, chronic syndrome questionnaire, severity modified version Zung self-rating depression scale. Results : Coeliac showed significantly lower body mass index than (P = 0.0001), serum iron (P = 0.04). entire cohort greater score (P = 0.001), (P = 0.0001) questionnaire compared with diet had higher coeliacs (P = 0.001). prevalence pathological 17% all 0% significant correlation found between scores diet. Presence/absence gastrointestinal symptoms did not show any scores. In diet, scales differ related to dietetic compliance.
