摘要: Light weight, highly conductive (both electrically and thermally) multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWNTs) sheets can be used as an effective electric heating element. In this paper, silver nanoparticles were anchored onto carboxyl functionalized nanotubes by photochemical reaction to enhance the transport properties of resultant nanohybrid sheet. The sheet was then integrated into Kevlar/epoxy sandwich structure resin infusion method. When conducting a current through area 24.6×20.7mm, sample temperature reached steady-state value (e.g. 110oC) within 13s consuming power density 0.58W/in2. addition, laminate showed stable reversibility after number cycles, which indicated it’s potential for thermal interface materials, sensors de-icing applications.
