摘要: Creating hybrid nanostructures consisting of disparate nanoscale blocks is interest for exploring new types quantum device architectures. Here, we demonstrate the novel anchoring monolayer-protected gold nanoclusters 1−3 nm diameter to sidewalls carbon nanotubes (CNTs) via hydrophobic interactions between octanethiols capping and acetone-activated CNT surfaces. Such molecularly interlinked nanoblocks are attractive building biocompatible nanodevices.
