摘要: Abstract This paper introduces Parasol—an open source, interactive visualization library to support the development of web applications for multi-objective decision making. Multi-objective optimization is a popular way explore competing objectives in environmental management problems. Interactive visualizations allow stakeholders and gain insights about large, high-dimensional datasets produced by optimization. Among methods, parallel coordinates are well-suited this task. However, current software source libraries have limited these plots. The Parasol described work provides developers with building blocks create sharable, applications. Moreover, incorporating state art clutter reduction techniques—such as clustering, linking, brushing, marking, bundling—Parasol improves upon traditional visualizations. We demonstrate benefit such features through simple examples exploring real-world water resources problem commonly used literature.
