Student responses to a work integrated learning approach in a new media teaching unit

摘要: This paper describes student responses to the application and integration of a Work Integrated Learning approach New Media teaching unit at an Australian university. The purpose work-integrated was attempt teach students how collaborate in ‘real-world’ work situations solve ‘real’ problems as they occur. Data on learning outcomes collected by questionnaires over four semesters. Results show that respond positively regarding comparison traditional coursework based assessment. Students particularly identified their own development areas problem solving, ability team, analytical skills plan organise, being affected. Furthermore, improvements motivation, engagement overall university are reported. Biographical notes: Eric Fassbender’s general interests use virtual environments for teaching, heritage preservation recreational purposes.
