摘要: The endometrium is a unique adult tissue which, in the absence of pregnancy or disease, undergoes cyclic breakdown and regrowth approximately 400 times during woman's reproductive life. chances success each cycle depends on appropriate, cell-specific responses to steroids, including expression matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). Normal endometrial MMP regulation response either estrogen progesterone requires additional, interactions mediated by various growth factors cytokines. During maturation, progesterone, retinoic acid TGF-beta act cooperatively, providing remarkable biological balance regulate MMPs highly steroid-sensitive endometrium. Exploring regulatory actions locally produced cytokines members family their inhibitors will allow better understanding physiology human under influence progesterone.
