摘要: OBJECTIVES To compare physicochemical characteristics and in vitro vivo contrast-enhanced ultrasound imaging performance of 3 commercially available contrast agents: SonoVue (Bracco Imaging SpA, Colleretto Giacosa, Italy; also marketed as Lumason the USA), Definity (Lantheus Medical Imaging, North Billerica, MA) Optison (GE Healthcare AS, Oslo, Norway). METHODS Physicochemical were measured with a Multisizer Coulter Counter (Beckman Coulter, Fullerton, CA). Two systems (Aplio 500; Toshiba Systems Corp, Tochigi-ken, Japan; Logiq E9; GE Healthcare, Little Chalfont, England) used different transducers. Contrast enhancement was by dose-ranging measurements using custom-built beaker setup; performances compared pigs (heart liver) rabbits (liver). Quantitative analyses performed VueBox quantification software Suisse SA, Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland). RESULTS Measured agreement those provided manufacturers. In data demonstrated that similar to or better than but superior (normalized scattered power 2- 10-fold higher SonoVue). Similar results obtained vivo, although duration pig heart longer for Definity, quantitative analysis revealed (1.5-fold increase). For liver imaging, showed enhancement, Optison, both peak (up 2-fold CONCLUSIONS slightly it conditions this study.
