摘要: The two prominent types of optically controlled switches, the linear (OCL) switch and initiated avalanche (OIA) switch, are described, their operating parameters characterized. Two transmission line approaches, one using a frozen-wave generator other an injected-wave generator, for generation multiple cycles high-power microwave energy switches discussed. point design performances series-switch, parallel-switch, compared. performance limitations discussed, additional research needed to advance development controlled, bulk, semiconductor is indicated. >
