摘要: AbstractStigmatizing attitudes can create barriers to forming partnership with service users and developing people’s empowerment. So, social work education must help students overcome their stigmatizing attitudes. A useful strategy for bringing about changes is users’ carers’ involvement in education, providing direct exposure stigmatized people roles that emphasize humanity strengths, rather than deficits. The present study assessed the impact of a one-day meeting carers members self-help mutual-aid groups on freshman students. Students completed an adapted version Attitudes Mental Illness Questionnaire before after meeting, answered several qualitative questions. Data comparisons suggest face-to-face contact carers, showed reduced Implications further research are discussed.
