摘要: Background Giardia duodenalis is a common intestinal parasite that infects humans and many other mammals, mainly distributing in some areas with poor sanitation. The proportion of the human giardiasis burden attributable to G. animal origin differs different geographical areas. In Mainland China, genetic data gdh bg genes from animals are only limited dogs cats. aim study was provide information on characterizations animal-derived isolates (from rabbits, sheep cattle) at both loci Heilongjiang Province, Northeastern assess potential for zoonotic transmission. Methodology/Principal Findings 61 feces (dairy beef cattle, rabbits) Province were characterized present study. gene sequences sheep-derived assemblage AI, rabbit-derived B had 100% similarity those humans, respectively. Novel subtypes identified, one seven assemblages A E locus, two three Three pairs same observed cattle. Conclusions/Significance This first description cattle China. Homology analysis AI implied possibility transmission. novel may represent endemic characteristics
