An investigation into the effect of magnetic domains in cobalt on an electron beam

摘要: The effect on an electron beam of the leakage field due to magnetic domains in unmagnotized crystal hexagonal cobalt has been investigated. A conventional electrondiffraction camera was used, primary being limited by a small movable aperture and deflexions observed photographic plate. Both prism faces were examined. Magnetic effects found (a) beam, (b) diffraction pattern, (c) shadow edge (d) photograph produced diffuse scattering from aperture. These are analyzed terms fields domains; measurements made size magnitude at surface its variation with distance surface.
