摘要: Several treatments have been suggested to correct dentofacial abnormalities, including orthognathic surgery. The aim of the present systematic review was assess impact surgery on patient satisfaction, overall quality life, life related oral health—and in particular—among adult patients. Two investigators independently reviewed available literature databases PubMed/MEDLINE, LILACS, SciELO, EMBASE, Trip, and Google Scholar (gray literature) based keywords “orthognathic surgery” “quality life.” An analysis bias performed MINORS (methodological index for nonrandomized studies). A total 245 relevant studies were retrieved from databases, 6 additional located after a manual search references. Following selection titles, abstracts, full-text analysis, 30 included review. To evaluate before surgery, 12 applied surgery-related Orthognathic Quality Life Questionnaire (OQLQ), used Oral Health Impact Profile (OHIP-14), 4 Short Form Survey (SF-36). results improvements both physically psychosocially is associated with high rates satisfaction.
