摘要: BACKGROUND: Documenting the performance of gynecologic screening in actual practice settings is difficult to achieve. In current study, 11 individual cytotechnologists as well that overall laboratory over 2 consecutive time periods was examined using rapid prescreening (RPS) method. METHODS: RPS performed by all a single separate 8-month periods. The sensitivity for and groups examined. For purposes comparison, were divided into groups: screeners with an routine ≥95% <95%. RESULTS: Atypical squamous cells (ASC) used threshold, found vary from 68.3% 96.8%. RPS 43.6% 88.4%, respectively. Over time, improved 85.3% 91.3% (P = .01). During this same frame, <95% 79.3% 91.2% < .001), whereas remained (96.1% 96.4%; P .6). CONCLUSIONS: In addition detecting correcting errors, results study indicate consistently might play role leading but not ≥95%. Cancer (Cancer Cytopathol) 2009. © 2009 American Society.
