摘要: Introduction Conventional photodynamic therapy (c-PDT) is an established successful treatment for non-melanoma skin cancers (NMSC). Daylight PDT (DL-PDT) was introduced to overcome the main inconveniencies associated with c-PDT such as pain during illumination and long clinic visits. DL-PDT shown have similar short-term efficacy of mild/moderate actinic keratosis (AKs) but it better tolerability. Since AKs tend regress reoccur over time, data on long-term become crucial. Evidence acquisition We performed a systematic review search up February 2018 available studies using MEDLINE database made manual selected references. synthesis Most current limited follow-up periods 3 6 months. Only 2 randomized, intra-individual provided AK at 12 month-follow-up supported this novel modality showing low recurrence rate, varying from 8.7% 13%. Current evidences other NMSCs are seems be not good AK. Conclusions very promising mild moderate face scalp. Efficacy outcomes those in short-term. Additional required increase our knowledge efficacy, currently available.
