摘要: The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence isolated systolic hypertension (ISH) and associated risk major cardiovascular events. Copenhagen City Heart Study is a prospective population survey with examinations at 5-year intervals. Blood pressure measurement carried out as office blood pressure. ISH defined SBP > or = 160 mmHg DBP 50 years, not on anti-hypertensive cardiac medicine, had no history previous stroke MI. Initial cases verified MI were recorded from 1976 1988. showed an age-related increase 3% in 55-year olds 13% 72-year olds. No sex difference found. Relative corrected for other factors 3.0 (95% CI 1.6-5.3) women 2.7 (1.8-4.3) men. This highest relative among all hypertensive groups. 0.8 (0.3-2.0) 1.6 (1.0-2.5) Population attributable up 30%.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
