摘要: A source of error in microphysical retrievals and model simulations is the assumption that clouds are composed only randomly oriented ice crystals. This frequently not true, as evidenced by optical phenomena such parhelia. Here, observations from Cloud, Aerosol Polarization Backscatter Lidar at Summit, Greenland utilized along with other sensors beam imaging to examine properties horizontally crystals environment conditions which they occur.
