摘要: The antiplaque potential of metal salts in mouthwashes or dentifrices has been previously demonstrated. purpose the present investigation was to establish effects on plaque and gingival health a dentifrice which contained combination salt, zinc citrate, anti-microbial agent, Triclosan. Plaque growth reduced by either citrate triclosan, but greater inhibition achieved with both agents. A 4-day non-brushing study slurries were used, confirmed that test 1% 0.5% Triclosan accumulation 50%. In double-blind crossover 28 days duration, significant reduction an improvement demonstrated for compared placebo. Further analysis data indicated most efficacious participants who brushed ineffectively. Also, greatest benefit obtained subjects used largest amount dentifrice.
